He will\u00a0study advanced electronic structure calculations in <a href=\"http:\/\/schleife.matse.illinois.edu\/\">Andr\u00e9 Schleife&#8217;s group<\/a> at the university of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Christian\u00a0will use the methods \u00a0to calculate\u00a0the optical properties of CNTs which will finally complement his PhD. Andr\u00e9, who initially comes from Chemnitz as well, is a recognized expert in this field.
